Every so often I like to round up the things I’m genuinely into — no theme, no agenda, just what’s making my life better or funnier lately. Here’s the current list.

Some of the links in this post are affiliate links, which means I may earn a commission if you make a purchase, at no extra cost to you. I only share products and companies I actually use and believe in.

I’m late to this, but I’m officially obsessed with Gianmarco Soresi. His crowd work is some of the sharpest, fastest, funniest I’ve seen in a long time — the kind of comedy that makes you nervous for whoever he talks to next and delighted at the same time. If you need a rabbit hole tonight, start with his crowd work clips and don’t blame me for the two hours you lose.

I’m re-reading Marla Frees’ book, American Psychic. Her story is extraordinary, and she is the real deal. I’ve treated a lot of people with extraordinary psychic skills, and I have a theory about what happens in childhood that makes the brain able to do such things. If you’re interested in knowing more about that, please let me know!

I’m re-obsessed with songs about the color blue. I don’t know if it’s some Mother Mary energy, my Cancer rising, or a sign that I’ve healed from growing up in a house that looked like a Smurf decorated it, tastefully. Probably some of each.

I don’t love talking about supplements in a “buy this, and your life will change” way, because that’s not how bodies work — but I do like sharing what’s actually in my own routine, so here’s mine.

Modere Liquid Biocell → now under Shaklee. I’d been using this for my skin for a while and genuinely noticed a difference. It has also helped resolve my long chronic foot pain and made my hair fuller. When Modere ran into financial trouble, Shaklee acquired the Biocell line, so it’s no longer available anywhere else — the only way to get it now is through a Shaklee account, which is why I have one.

Bonus for the dog (and horse) people: there’s a pet version of Liquid Biocell that I give my dog to support his joints from all his dog-park antics — I’ve watched too many friends’ dogs rupture an ACL lately, and I’m not trying to join that club. Also works for horses, if that’s your world.

Omega Oil from Chewy has stopped my dog, Atlas, from leaving tumbleweeds of hair in our hallway. The reduction in shedding has been remarkable. I know other dog owners who use this and also note a significant difference in shedding. I don’t know if combining it with Liquid Biocell Pet helps even more, but all I can say is that it’s been a miracle and my house stays much cleaner much longer.

Shaklee Sparkling Protein. This has become a genuine daily habit — it’s part of what’s helped me lose over 20 lbs, alongside Perfect Aminos below. No GLP-1s involved, just consistency with these two. It comes in lemon-lime and wild berry, which is new and I just ordered. If you don’t like stevia, you won’t like this. It might even be good with a shot of gin or vodka in it if that’s your thing…

Perfect Aminos. The other half of my weight-loss combo. I order these through my FullScript account, which also means you can order literally anything on FullScript through my link — 15% off your first order and 10% off autoship orders. I take the pills, haven’t tried the drink powder yet, and I probably won’t because I tend not to like such things.

If you want to ask me questions about supplements, you can schedule a consult.

KLOW Peptides. These have made a real difference for my skin and hair. I work with a peptide company that tests everything for microplastics and contaminants, which matters a lot to me. If you’re curious whether peptides might be right for you, email me or grab a consult, and we can figure out what makes sense for your goals.

***If the times available don’t work for your time zone or if it’s urgent, just reach out, and I’ll add hours to the calendar, or we’ll find a time that works.***

Pure Encapsulations Liver-GI Detox. This one mattered because my liver wasn’t converting my thyroid hormones properly — once I supported that pathway, my metabolism noticeably improved.

DHEA 25mg. I take this as a precursor to support healthy testosterone levels. It’s a small daily addition that’s made a difference for me. If you’re taking it for increasing sex drive or sexual pleasure, I will just offer that there are some fun peptides for that too…see above.

The denim jacket saga. Inspired by Elton John from his biopic, I’m covering a denim jacket in patches to wear out to live music, and it turns out my iron-on-and-glue approach was... optimistic. Half the patches are already peeling at the corners, so I’m being forced to confront some real childhood sewing trauma and finally learn a proper whip stitch. Send help, or at least send moral support.

Graduation season. My youngest is graduating from college this month, and I could not be more ready to show up and celebrate everything it took to get here.

Because none of us is as well as all of us could be.

Love,

Melanie

This post reflects my personal experience and is shared for informational purposes only. It is not medical advice, and it is not a recommendation that you take any supplement, peptide, or hormone precursor (including DHEA) without first talking to your own physician or healthcare provider — especially anything that affects hormones, thyroid function, or metabolism. Individual results vary, and what worked for me may not be appropriate for you. If you’re pregnant, nursing, managing a health condition, or taking medication, please check with your doctor before starting anything new.
