One of the questions I get the most is 'what advice do you have for an American who wants to move to Paris?'

Candidly, I never quite know what to say because 1. I’m not American, so some of the things that may surprise you have been built into me from a young age! and 2. the answers can be both very broad and very specific! Getting used to everyone’s limited working hours, the restaurants not serving you food after 2pm, getting a “Dossier” together before applying for an apartment, the directness in conversation, but also the variety of topics at the dinner table

I’ve been in Paris for 6 of the past 8 weeks. This was the vision when I started apartment hunting here 5 years ago: to create a small base that would be my home. Here I leave a set of all my favorite vanity products, a hair towel, and my nice steak knives. I have running shoes and vintage boots such that, while it never happens, I could fly here with just a purse and spend the week.

What I do like, and do well, is sharing a snapshot of my Paris right now, an anti-ultimate guide to Paris of sorts.
