I realise it’s been a while now since I last posted here. So much has happened in the last three weeks, I hardly know where to start. I’ll post a longer version soon for paid subscribers, but to sum up – after a profound mindshift on the ferry from Langkawi (Malaysia), I’m now in Wales reconnecting with family.
The Welsh have a saying ‘Dod yn ôl a fy nghoed’ which literally translates to, ‘To return to your woods.’ This saying embodies the sense of returning to a safe place and reclaiming peace of mind and calm. This is how it feels. Coming back here has given me a deep sense of belonging and a feeling that I can finally rest for a while.
And not only have I returned to my woods, I think I may have finally found my waka, in the shape of a coastal Celtic longboat.
So, this is where my story moves out of Act One (the bike ride) and into Act Two (finding my waka).
More coming soon, my friends…
