Ugh, I LOVE Julie Vos.

If you're not familiar with the brand, Julie Vos has been around for more than twenty years and has built a loyal following for its beautifully crafted fashion jewelry. Every piece begins with nickel-free brass, is hand-finished with 24-karat gold plating, and sealed for durability. The result is jewelry that has the look and feel of much more expensive pieces without the fine jewelry price tag.

My wardrobe tends to lean pretty classic. I wear a lot of white shirts, striped sweaters, linen in the summer, cashmere in the winter, and simple dresses. Because my clothes are fairly understated, I rely on accessories to add a little interest, and Julie Vos does that better than almost any other brand I own. Their pieces feel timeless, but they’re never boring.

Long time readers know my affection for their Penelope Stud, the SoHo Demi X Stud and their Calypso Trio Ring. They were some of the first pieces I bought when I started building my “grown-up” jewelry collection, and they’re still among my favorites. The Penelope Studs, in particular, are my go-to pearls. They’re the perfect example of taking something classic and giving it just enough of a twist to make it feel fresh. (and they are priced well and make a great gift.)

One note before we dive in: I don't love everything they make. Their bangles are gorgeous, but I find them oversized and impractical. I spend too much time on my computer, and I find them uncomfortable to wear while typing. Their cuffs, on the other hand, are a different story. I have an older version of the Luna Demi Cuff below, and I get compliments every time I wear it..

The other thing I love is that Julie Vos doesn’t constantly run promotions. In fact, this is their only sale of the year. So if you’ve been thinking about adding a piece or two to your collection, this is genuinely the best time to do it.
