Hello Megalithomaniacs. We wish you all a very happy Summer Solstice wherever you are in the world. We will be taking a walk over Salisbury Plain to visit Stonehenge once again, and hopefully we’ll see some of you there. Things are already being set up, ready for the influx of possibly 30,000 revellers.

We still have three spaces left on our upcoming England Tour, which includes private access to Stonehenge from the 22nd to the 28th of July and features special guest Praveen Mohan coming over from India. See an interview I did with Praveen below.

We also have a couple of spots still available on our Ireland tour which takes place at the end of August going into September, but bookings are closing very, very soon, so if you want to jump on that tour, please go to this link.

A new discovery has been found very close to Stonehenge. A few miles away in Bullford, Prof. Phil Harding, formerly of Time Team and Wessex Archaeology have discovered two massive post holes 120 m apart, which according to archaeoastronomer Dr Fabio Silva are aligned perfectly to the Summer Solstice sunrise and Winter Solstice sunset. This dates back to 500 years before the first stones were put in place at Stonehenge (c.3000 BC).

However, there is evidence that the solstice may have been observed at Stonehenge much earlier than this….

Check out my new article On the Graham Hancock website that explores 'the most ancient of solstices' not only at Stonehenge, where there is evidence of extremely early observation of the turnings of the year (long before the Bulford discovery), but also at other prehistoric sites around the world, including, of course, Karahan Tepe. This will form part of a chapter in the forthcoming book by myself and JJ Ainsworth, and it was also the theme of my lecture from the Origins Conference in November 2025, which you can now watch here.

Jim Vieira recently presented at the Megalithomania conference, and his new book has now finally been published so we sat him down and got a full interview about his latest research and some themes from the book. It’s available to watch on our YouTube channel and Spotify podcast.

Jim is a stonemason, author, explorer, and former host of History Channel's Search for the Lost Giants (2014) and has featured on many other popular shows including Ancient Aliens and Legends of the Lost with Megan Fox.

He is also the co-author of Giants on Record and The Giants of Stonehenge and Ancient Britain (with yours truly) and his latest book, Footprints of the Gods, is co-authored with Greg Maestro.

I’ve just returned from a ten-day trip to Tuscany, which started as a family holiday and ended up being a seriously megalithic exploration around that part of the world. I have visited Italy on two separate occasions to witness the gigantic polygonal and cyclopean walls and also some of the Etruscan tombs and megalithic sites.

This trip was absolutely mind-blowing, as I got to go to sites I’ve not seen before and also got to see some of the largest megaliths in Italy, thanks to the previous diligent field research of Gary Bilcliffe and Marco Vigato. Above are a few images of some of the sites I visited, and I will be editing videos soon. We are also looking at running a tour there in the future, so if you’d be interested in something like this, please let us know by replying to this email.

Check out the latest edition of the Earth Ancients podcast where I talk with Cliff Dunning about the underground tunnels of Cuzco and also in Turkey and Egypt and get into the whole question of what was going on underneath the surface of the earth in ancient times.

We are delighted to announce that we’ll be returning to the beautiful islands of Malta and Gozo in March 2027. We have some special sites lined up that we’ve not visited before, as well, of course, as all the classic megaliths and temples, many that we get private access to including Mnajdra on the morning of the Equinox itself. Details here.

Our 2026 tours include, England, Ireland and Peru. We will also be travelling to India, Japan, Egypt, Turkey, Armenia and Malta in 2027. Please respond via email if you are interested in any of the tours or book deposits directly on the individual tour page. Details here.
