2026 appears to be the year to tie the knot. Following the very wedding weekend of both Dua Lipa & Callum Turner and Harriet Sperling & Peter Phillips, it seems only fitting to share our second feature of the fabulous Phillipa Lepley.

Chapter Forty is the ultimate editorial birthday party, as the Atelier described as the epitome of London Bridal Luxury looks back on all it has achieved. The reflection, published on the brand’s website, is in equal measures truthful and tender, leaning on the whimsical and sentimental tones woven into each piece of signature bridal wear.

“Phillipa’s most adored design elements, from duchess satin and bows to meadow motifs all feature in Chapter Forty.”

Phillipa, whom we spoke with back in January (read here), takes celebrating seriously. Forty years of fabulous couture births a new collection, drawing on beloved thematic notes of the past, such as bows, duchess satin and meadow elements, while ever looking to the future.

This is the lauded designer’s superpower: masterfully blending together essential historical elements with subtle touches of elegance for the modern-day. Chapter Forty offers the classic, the re-imagined & the new all at once, embellished with petals, florals & leaves and offering additional tones (peep the pink), trains, sleeves & coats.

The result? The spirited beauty of the designs below, laden with the same airy magic as the live action Cinderella movie & its stirring soundtrack. (Does the Meadow Party gown not feel like a creative edition of ‘Lavender Blue Dilly Dilly’ brought to life in fashion form?)

Each gown a statement, the true Phillipa Lepley experience shines through. Peerless detail with something for every bride, from the Vienna’s satin opera sleeves & the Café au lait shades of Tallulah, to the ethereal presence of the Mesange Épuré and the old school lace sleeves of the Ursula Berry.

Amongst the stunning array of bridal gowns, MMTD’s very favourites highlight a steady theme of the Lily of the Valley. The above Christobal gown debuts long duchess satin sleeves, square neckline and strong shoulder motifs alongside delicate flora arrangements and hems of organza. Lily of the Valley Love is the very dress of daydreams, embodying the themes of love and devotion, with refined embroidery, a dropped-waist and corseted bodice, full skirt and tulle across the shoulders.

Our warmest well wishes to Phillipa Lepley and the team on the launch and celebration of Chapter Forty! It is an honour to join editorial forces with you and a special thank you to Catherine Burns for facilitating this partnership. The pleasure is ours.
