At long last we have a date for the record release party! Details still to follow but it’ll take place the evening of Friday, December 12, in Albany, CA (just north of Berkeley). We’re putting together a Layers of Meta band for the gig and figuring out how much of the record we can play [ ]
This Piper Morgan project continues to eat my mind and absorb much of my free-ranging enthusiasm and creative energy these days. A few fun things are that my amazing designer friend Mel Choyce took the not-too-uncanny but not great dolphin logo I d been using and after a wide ranging exploration refined it to this mark [ ]

I was surprised to see some younger-ish folks at the Dead show in Sunday. For me one of the highlights was having two functioning knees and being able to stand (and dance) all night. It was a lot of fun! Yes, at times somewhat labored,but many great moments especialy in set the second set. Set [ ]

Back when Jerry Garcia was still alive, after I had moved to San Francisco and then later to Oakland, the abundance of Grateful Dead shows (not to mention Garcia Band and other related family events) made me complacent.
