John i really appreciate all your great material and in my view what make it so compelling is the scientific appeal approach you bring of setting out a theory and then repeatedly testing it against the facts. Maybe it's too contentious or off topic but one day I would love to hear your analysis on 22 November 1963 and what you think really happened.
JM is spot on - as usual. I have used some harsh language when referring to the current administration and Republican legislators who continue to drink the kool aid. But, even worse are those seemingly informed and educated folks who never learned the US foreign policy lessons of the past 80 years. A long line of diplomats and foreign policy advisors preached the limits of military power and spoke out against Middle East entanglement in favor of measured focus on the western hemisphere, Western Europe and East Asia. Marshall and Kennan are rolling in their graves….sigh.
