Welcome! If you’re new around here, Max Most Loved is my monthly collection of little things that I have been thinking are cute, fun, and sexy lately. Feel free to check out a few recent issues, I bet you’ll find we have plenty in common!
♥️ First off, if you didn’t catch it, Twitter finally pulled the plug on me. My account was suspended after 10yrs :( I made a new one, sat on it for awhile, but ultimately decided I do not have it in me to start from scratch again.
What I had forgotten about though was ye old Instagram account that has been lying dormant since November 2024. I would much rather casually post beautiful snapshots of my life without the burden of thinking up a million clever captions - that’s what Substack Notes are for. I think the platform you post most naturally on will find you better connections than one you feel obligated to participate in, so I’m just going to go with the flow and not burn myself out on that hellmouth any longer.
♥️ I finished Ringu and just picked up Strange Houses at the recommendation of one of my Philly Favorites, Stella Hart. When I was telling a friend about starting the latter, without saying a word, she smiled and pulled out her copy, so that’s the only sign I need that I’m in for a good time.
I guess I’m having a Japanese horror literature moment. Can’t complain! Let me know if you have any rec’s that would be in that lane!
Thanks for reading LoveNote ♥! This post is public so feel free to share it.
♥️ I had forgotten how amazing I feel after letting an elderly Thai woman stomp all over my back. That style of massage is not exactly relaxing, but so worth it. I’m melting. I may need to get beat up like that with regular frequency.
♥️ My favorite part of San Francisco is that you can enjoy some unbelievable National Parks without ever leaving the city. I walked the entirety of Golden Gate Park, which lead me to “Ocean Beach“ located on “Great Highway“, both names that sound incredibly fake. Like something I would have made up as a teenager who knew I was about to get grounded. “No, I wasn’t with a boy…I was at…Ocean Beach…?“ I stood there myself and I still refuse to accept that intersection wasn’t an AI glitch.
I put my bare feet in the Pacific Ocean for the first time and it felt like very romantic unprotected sex with God.
I had an unusually late flight out on my last day. I watched the sun sink into the West from the beach, then I turned East to the airport, caught my redeye, and I met the sun on the other side of the country at the crack of dawn.
How dreamy is that?
