I like to draw and sketch. As a professional sound designer, I aim to master my craft and hit certain standards of quality. As a hobbyist illustrator, there are no rules. This is a space where I can be totally creative and free like a kid. 20 May, 2026 BIRD (Animation) 20 May, 2026 Printing my art IRL
This is an album that builds on the guitar sampling and recording techniques I started in ' Stereoscope ' It was released on ' Serein Records ', which is an excellent netlabel run by Huw Roberts. The release's physical component was a series of screen prints from Antonia Chandler . I was really into the idea of 'less is more' at the time. The tracks are brief, Intended to keep the listener engaged…
Around 2022-2024, I was creating alot of music sketches. I wanted to get comfortable with imperfection and working quickly. Applying some of what I learned from my recent ' Sound design practice ' I would upload these tracks to soundcloud and send them to my sister (a great composer and musician by the way: CASTLE IF ) who would give feedback and critiques. Not everything is still on soundcloud,…
'Flatland Sound Studio' is an alias i've used for some pretty wild, textural, beat driven music. It's named after the book 'Flatland'. I've released on some of my favorite netlabels, like Bedroom Research and King Deluxe. Flatland Sound Studio · Windy Day Flatland Sound Studio · Fanfare Flatland Sound Studio · Wave Arp Flatland Sound Studio · Maximum Vacation Plus on CD! (With 4 bonus tracks) -…
Flow is a sound art project that I contributed to alongside 49 other artists. From the official website: "In Flow, artists reflect on climate change, the environment and what rivers mean in their lives, using sound as the medium. Flow (Official Project Page) The project was presented at the EGU general assembly in Vienna in May 2026, the most important geoscience conference in Europe. To be…
In 2026, for ThatGameJam (Hosted by 'ThatGameCompany'), I built a project entirely in C++. Visual art was provided by my teammate. During gameplay, 'Arms' slide into frame and players move their mouse to meet them. Each contact triggers musical notes. As more hands are 'touched', the environment changes, eventually revealing a surprise finale. The whole game can be played in under 2 minutes.…
I created a card game from scratch in Unreal Engine. It's a twist on classic 'Memory', where players memorize sound instead of card faces. This ended up being a full on coding project, more than just sound design. At the time of writing this, a full walkthrough of the project is available in my technical design reel . I've also embedded the walkthrough here:
In 2024, while travelling in China, I captured a series of field recordings. It's something I like to do when abroad. This batch was especially good, so I compiled them into an album. One of these recordings, "Vendors in the Park", was chosen as the winning entry for Sound of the Year Award's "Sound of the City" category. After the award, I gave an Interview with 'Electronic Sound' . On top of…
