Hi!

Echoes in the Water is finally here.

I’m a big fan of the ‘mysterious island’ trope. I’ve been that way since I was a kid. I’m also a huge romantic suspense fan. So, by the power vested in me as an author, I blended the two into a slow-burn romance set on a remote island in the South Pacific, where not everything can be explained. I say that because the book contains speculative elements. But mostly, it’s about two loners finding each other in the most unique setting.

If you’ve been following along these past few weeks, thank you. Your encouragement, comments, and excitement have meant more than you know.

Here’s a small taste…

Ahead, a pale mist began to gather on the horizon.

The sea around her darkened, and the wind kicked up. The boat bobbed harder, and swells slapped the fiberglass erratically.

Then came the cough.

A sputter.

The engine choked, and she eased off the throttle, afraid it would flood the engine even more.

In another minute, it stuttered—and shut off.

Silence surrounded her, broken only by the slap of the waves and the beat of her heart inside her ears.

Then she saw it.

A shape. Faint. Ghostly.

It was there, and then it was not.

She looked again, and this time it emerged from the mist. It didn’t vanish. It became even sharper.

An island.

If mysterious islands, adventure, and romance are your kind of thing, I hope you’ll enjoy spending a few days with Brenna and Daniel.
