There is something delightful about a large-scale, well-organized thrift shop1. When you find such a store, just looking at the inventory is worth the trip. A very specific item, in volume, is candy for the eye.
And the resulting aggregation can span the spectrum from order (the glasses) to pattern (the plates) to chaos (the mixer blades).
Often, there’s something new that transcends the “many of the one”: a pleasing expectation fulfilled; a new geometric; an overwhelming complication.
