Double the Fun! Lomography's Half-Frame Simple Use Reloadable Camera

I've had a lot of fun with my first roll with Lomography's Half-Frame Simple Use Reloadable Camera.

New in 2026, this is a half frame version of their simple use reloadble line that has been around since 2017.

There’s colour and black and white versions, both loaded with 40 half frame photos. The colour version ($44.90 AUD / 34.90 USD / 29.90 EUR) is loaded with Classicolor 200, and the black and white version ($37.90 AUD / $29.90 USD / 24.90 EUR) is loaded with Lady Grey film.

As seasoned film shooters will know, 40 half frame photos / 20 full frame photos is a bit of an odd number for a roll, but this doesn't matter, and the target market will hardly bat an eyelid. Once you finish your roll you can reload the camera for more half frame adventures.

The cameras also come with a AAA battery installed to power the flash. The colour film version also has 3 coloured filters to put over the flash for cool effects!

I really loved playing around with the colour filters. One important thing to note - make sure you press the flash button every time you want it to fire. I am used to Lomography’s other cameras that have an on/off switch, so I forgot to keep pressing it. This resulted in a few missed shots.

To top it all off, the camera is made from 100% recycled materials. This is an important feature to mention in an age when every new cheap film and digital camera on the market is greeted (rather unfairly) with cries of ‘more plastic junk’.
