The San Antonio Spurs championship hopes are alive and well1. Wemby and crew secured a 115-111 victory over the New York Knicks, giving themselves a chance to tie this series Wednesday night.
Tonight was the Spurs’ opportunity to prove they belonged, and boy, did they ever. Area 512 is the story of the game for me. The 21 and 1/2 year3 old duo of Victor Wembanyama and Stephon Castle combined for 55 points, 13 rebounds, 11 assists, 3 steals, 4 blocks, and just 3 TOs between them. They were also 13 of 15 from the FT line and 4 of 9 from beyond the arc.

De’Aaron Fox: 12 points, 3 rebounds, 8 assists, 1 steal, and 2 blocks. (including a very clutch block against KAT late in the game)
Mitch Johnson: Once again the rookie coach coached his ASS butt off.
The Spurs bought themselves some room to maneuver and put the pressure on the Knicks to win Game 4. They’ve done their job, but there’s still plenty more work to do.
