Where do we draw the line?
Technology has given government the ability to track, store, search, and analyze our movements on a scale that would have been unimaginable just a generation ago.
There’s no question this technology can make law enforcement’s job easier. But at what point does convenience for government outweigh the civil liberties of the people it serves?
On Tuesday, Oconee County Council will consider first reading of the Protection from Mass Surveillance Ordinance.
