Sometimes I'm amazed at how far technology has come. You no longer need to sit at a computer to get work done. I am currently reading a school book, finding online references, and writing a school paper all from my phone while waiting in a line.

My daughter asked if I wanted to play a game she made up. We each draw a character, name their powers, and draw health hearts. She then draws a monster and narrates the battle. Each player gets to take turns to doing things in response to what is happening. She made up a simplified version of D&D and was a fantastic dungeon master ❤️

I don't often get decent pictures of birds, but today I noticed some Violet-green Swallows flying and landing near the top of a parking garage, so I went up there and managed to get pretty close without scaring them away, and I got a few decent shots while flying too! # birdsofmastodon

I don't know how I've gone this long without learning to use the ~/.ssh/config file! So much better than creating aliases or pushing up in your history until you find the last time you ssh'd into the server. This isn't an easy thing for me to accept, but I feel like it makes coming on Mastodon so much more enjoyable: If I enjoy someone's content (as in the projects, games, etc that they create) but they mostly just complain on Mastodon, I don't have to follow them here.
