Dear Faithful Friends,
Happy and Blessed Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary!
Today we rejoice that Our Lady, body and soul, was assumed into Heaven. According to the mystical revelations of Ven. Mary of Ágreda, the Most Holy Virgin did not die of illness or old age, but of pure love—her heart so consumed by Divine charity that God finally withdrew the miraculous strength that had preserved her, allowing her to breathe her last in perfect union with Him.
Yet even in her glory, the Immaculata still seeks our cooperation. As St. Maximilian Kolbe taught, the battle against Satan cannot be won by human cleverness alone. The Mother of God, already victorious in Heaven, now looks for souls who will consecrate themselves entirely to her, becoming the instruments through which she continues to crush the serpent’s head and extend the Kingdom of her Son upon the earth.
May we respond to her call with generous hearts, so that we too will die from the Love of God burning in our hearts!
“Among all these feasts which have been celebrated so devotedly for so many years, even unto the present day, the Feast of the Assumption is considered the greatest and holdeth chief place. Indeed there was no happier or more joyful day for Mary, if we duly consider the happiness of both body and soul granted to her on that day. Then especially, as never before, her spirit, soul and body rejoiced wondrously in the living God and she could rightfully say: He hath regarded the lowliness of his handmaiden; for behold, all generations shall call me blessed; for He that is mighty hath magnified me.” — St. Peter Canisius, Homily
From the writings of Sister Mary of Jesus of Agreda, Mystical City of God:
The Most Holy Mary arrived at the age of seventy-seven without having interrupted the race or stopped the flight, nor mitigated the fire of her love and worth from the first instant of her Immaculate Conception.
The natural disposition of her sacred and virgin body and face was the same as it was at thirty-three years old; because from that age, she never changed her natural state, nor did she feel the effects of the years or senility or old age, nor did she have wrinkles on her face or on her body, nor did she become weaker, thinner and skinnier.
She closed her virgin eyes and breathed her last. The disease that took her life was love. And the way was that the divine power suspended the miraculous aid that preserved her natural forces so that they would not be consumed by the ardor and fire that divine love caused.
The sacred body of the Most Holy Mary, which had been a temple and sanctuary of the living God, was filled with light and splendor and bid farewell to itself with such an admirable and new fragrance that all those around her were filled with inner and outer softness.”
“Modern times are dominated by Satan and will be more so in the future. The conflict with hell cannot be engaged by men, even the most clever. The Immaculata alone has from God the promise of victory over Satan. However, assumed into Heaven, the Mother of God now requires our cooperation. She seeks souls who will consecrate themselves entirely to her, who will become in her hands effective instruments for the defeat of Satan and the spreading of God’s kingdom upon earth.” ~ Maximilian Kolbe
Prayer of St. Alphonsus Liguori for the Assumption
“O Most Sweet Lady and Our Mother, by the glorious triumph of thy Assumption, in which thou wast raised above the choirs of Angels to the Kingdom of Heaven, take pity on us, who are still exiled in this valley of tears.
Thou art that exalted Queen who, entering Heaven, didst fill all the celestial spirits with joy, and didst draw all hearts after thee. Draw our poor hearts also to thee, O Mary! Thou hast not forgotten us in thy glory; look down, then, upon our misery and our weakness.
Obtain for us the grace to break all the chains of our earthly attachments, that we may live only for God, and desire only Heaven, where we hope one day to love thee and praise thee forever.
O Mother of Mercy, present us to thy Son, Jesus, and ask Him to grant us a happy death and perseverance in His grace until our last breath. Amen.”

O IMMACULATA, Queen of Heaven and earth, refuge of sinners and our most loving Mother, God has willed to entrust the entire order of mercy to you. I, (name), a repentant sinner, cast myself at your feet humbly imploring you to take me with all that I am and have, wholly to yourself as your possession and property. Please make of me, of all my powers of soul and body, of my whole life, death and eternity, whatever most pleases you.
If it pleases you, use all that I am and have without reserve, wholly to accomplish what was said of you: “She will crush your head,” and, “You alone have destroyed all heresies in the world.” Let me be a fit instrument in your immaculate and merciful hands for introducing and increasing your glory to the maximum in all the many strayed and indifferent souls, and thus help extend as far as possible the blessed kingdom of the most Sacred Heart of Jesus. For wherever you enter, you obtain the grace of conversion and growth in holiness, since it is through your hands that all graces come to us from the most Sacred Heart of Jesus.
V. Allow me to praise you, O sacred Virgin.

One can also send in particular intentions they would like to be added to these nine Traditional Latin Masses.
