Please forgive my silence here for a while. As the academic year will soon be drawing to a close, I will be more active.
YESTERDAY, April 19, was the FOURTH anniversary of my book,Imagining Our Neighbors as Ourselves: How Art Shapes Empathy.
If you do not have a copy, you can purchase it at any of your favorite outlets, but I strongly recommend buying it from Hearts & Minds Bookstore, owned by the amazing Byron Borger (pictured below).
On the day of my book release, I spent all day in short conversations with many fascinating folks about the topic of empathy (something that has, lamentably, been under attack recently). Anyway, just LOOK at the lineup below! Thank you to Byron and Ken, Bekah, Andrew, Joe, Makoto Fujimura , Steve, Claude, Joy Marie Clarkson ☀️ Tyler, Karen Swallow Prior , and Douglas Coupland!! It was an exciting, invigorating (albeit exhausting) day! The good news is that, even if you missed these, you can still watch any of them HERE.
