In today’s Friday Chat, I’m giving my thoughts on two books that have been popular on social media recently: Theo of Golden by Allen Levi and Yesteryear by Caro Claire Burke. I give you my reactions, what I think of these two books side by side, and what they have to say about authentic faith. I also talk about how I think they relate to Jesus’ Parable of the Talents in Matthew 25:14-30. Don’t worry, I don’t give any major spoilers!
Theo of Golden explores themes of suffering, art, and human connection. Yesteryear explores themes of women’s roles, social media, and the constrictions of societal expectations for both men and women.
