Silly Money Mistakes I Made For Far Too Long (And What I Do Instead)

Some of the biggest improvements to my finances came from correcting surprisingly small mistakes. Once I started noticing these less-than-ideal habits and changing them one by one, saving money became much easier. These are all things I wish younger me had learned sooner, and I'd love to hear if you have any of your own in the comments.

Not tracking my spending
I used to think that tracking and budgeting would be too restrictive, limiting, and rooted in scarcity.

Now: I manually track and budget all our spending, and I love the clarity and freedom that it brings to my family’s finances. We’re learning to live simply while still prioritizing intentional spending & making more room for what matters to us.
