Life has a way of knocking us down.

Sometimes it's a small stumble, a missed opportunity, a bad day, or a moment of fear and doubt.

Other times, it's a full-blown crash that leaves us breathless, questioning if we have the strength to rise again.

Over the years, as my daughter Skylar has stumbled and fallen, while learning to walk, skip, run, or ride her bike, I've shared with her one lasting principle…

That principle message has crept into her psyche and she instantly responds with "We Get Back Up Again, Daddy."

No hesitation. No shame. Just action.

Today, at 8 years old, she's in Jiu Jitsu, and falling down, or even being taken down, which is all part of the process for growth.

The mat doesn't care how many times you fall; the principle movement of the process is to simply "Get Back Up Again."

Life repeatedly presents us with challenges. Whether in business, relationships, or personal growth, setbacks aren't failures.

The only true failure is staying down.

Every stumble teaches us.

Every fall strengthens us.

Every setback is a setup for a comeback, if you choose to stand.

So, if today knocked you down, Get Back Up Again. Dust yourself off, stand up tall, and move forward.

Because resilience isn't about avoiding falls. It's about refusing to stay down.

Keep going. Keep growing. And Get Back Up Again.

And as I watch my daughter rise time and time again, on the mat, on the playground, in life, I'm reminded that we're all learning this lesson together.

See you again in the next post.

Cheers,

Marty

Grab some stuff that makes life easier and better.

  • Don’t lose your family photos. Keep memories safe and organized. The PhotoStick Omni simplifies the backup and organization of photos and videos across multiple platforms.

  • Have a Life Vac on hand just in case. LifeVac is a simple Airway Clearance device that can be used to remove a foreign body airway obstruction in the event of a choking emergency.

  • Use Active Skin Repair when you do fall down to harness the power of the body’s immune system to treat wounds and skin damage. The primary ingredient is hypochlorous acid (HOCl), which is naturally produced by white blood cells to support the healing process.
