I've stopped using Twitter for news and finally appreciate RSS. It's awesome!
You decide what to subscribe to, create your own feed, and choose what to see—no ads, free, and no data collection. I can't believe I used Twitter for this.
Years ago the Internet was full of optimism that in the future there will be intelligent agents capable of searching suitable informations for us. They would know exactly what we want, why we want and when we want it.
This future is now and this is not happening. Such perfect algorithms still do not exists. Although social media are trying. Yes, these social media who require to know everything about us to feed these faulty, usually annoying algorithms. If Twitter is trying to recommend me a content it usually fails (in general the news apps seem to be quite dumb).
So no, thanks.
I can follow Twitter, Reddit, and YouTube accounts via RSS if I want. It's refreshing. This is how freedom works.
I'm in the Apple ecosystem (for now) and after some research, I found the app Reeder serves me best.
