Reading through this airy update of CDFW s beaver release program I realize that I am thinking of this with a different reference point than its executors. They are thinking of the well bring of California s soil and water and wildlife. I am thinking of it the well-being of beavers. In their minds the beavers in question were going to DIE anyway so if 40% of them live isn t that an improvement?…
