Warriorship is more than courage, more than discipline, more than the ability to fight, endure, or remain standing under pressure. It is an inner a state of being, a particular state of consciousness that reorganizes the human being’s psyche from within. It changes the way we feel, think, and interpret difficulty, danger, responsibility, injustice, and even death.
When we enter the warrior state of consciousness, certain parts of our soul become activated. Hidden reserves of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual energy become available. We feel more gathered, less divided. Our attention sharpens. Our will becomes concentrated. Things that seemed impossible from one’s ordinary state of consciousness begin to appear possible from the warrior state.
Surely, the outer reality has not changed. The mountain remains the same. The danger remains real. What changes is the mode through which we meet it.
