Building an Archive Instead of a Newsletter

My apologies in advance...it’s been a while...so this is going to be a bit of a long ramble...hehe

I have a very rich inner life as I’ve always had a huge imagination...
And I’m a prolific creator...and collector of ...well just about everything..lol

For years I’ve joked that I’m a lone wolf who disappears into a cave with dragons, digital notebooks and entirely too many ideas.

And actually... I’ve never really struggled with having ideas.
I’ve struggled with the bit where they have to become polished enough before anyone gets to see them.
So my procrastination with writing consistent newsletters, social media posts...or blog posts has actually got a lot to do with my perfectionism...as there is no lack of actual creation...

For instance...I’ve been working for years now on a “new website”...
The problem wasn’t really the website. It was that the underlying business idea was constantly shifting because I didn’t fully understand what I was actually building...and it has only recently properly stabilised...based on my Life’s Mission...and it’s huge...
It’s literally as big as a planet...
Our planet...the Earth
Gaia...
And it’s going to take me quite a while to get everything sorted properly as I’ve accidently stumbled into approaching it from a very interesting perspective during the 100 Day Project over on Instagram earlier this year, namely worldbuilding...

My Workroom is where I am building what will become the Gaia Archive of Light.
In my life this consists of a collection of Notes on my Laptop, a lot of ideas in my head and a journaling and brainstorming method I use inside an AI LLM.

I remember a lot of my past lives...and I have a very specific way of seeing myself as I am on the inside. So this is what has become realised visually as The Archive Walker. He’s a very interesting blend of mystic, explorer and warrior...as this is how most of my other embodiments across worlds and times express mostly...and I associate more strongly with masculine...not necessarily male...but that’s how it translates.

So...
A while ago I realised something.
What if I stopped waiting until everything was finished?
What if I simply opened the Workroom door?

So I’ve quietly started building something over on Skool called The Archive Walker’s Workroom.

It’s not a course.
It’s not really a membership in the traditional sense.
It’s simply the place where I’ve decided to share how and what I build.

I originally thought, after seeing so many creatives and writers shift away from social media platforms to Substack ,that it would be an ideal place for me to build up my subscribers...but after studying it for a while I realised that it actually needs quite a bit of work and time to connect with like-minded people... and time is something I don’t really have... for that type of thing... right now.

I have been going through so much the last two to three years and have opened up the most extraordinary unique connection to Gaia, that I literally have material for several books just from that alone... And it is continuing to expand every day still. So I’d rather be spending my time writing and creating the tools that I want and need to be developing without adding another rather deep rabbit hole to my warren of existing ones...lol

I’ve also realised that I’ve been procrastinating on the writing of my Field Notes since I shifted to Substack, as I feel the need for them to be polished and conform to what everyone else was doing... which was never the idea for them in the first place... I intended for them to be raw and not too overly edited... notes about my process and the development of the Archive. The Archive itself will hold the polished final work... eventually...

I’ve been researching how to document and keep notes for all of this as well as where to house the Gaia Archive of Light, which is the collection of all the resulting conclusions from all the different rabbit holes I’ve been deep diving into for most of my life... as it will eventually grow to be quite an extensive one.

I have explored the use of several different platforms for all the various bits needed quite in depth over the last couple of years and have had many stops and restarts but because my underlying structure wasn’t fully clear, until very recently, so it shifted constantly as nothing quite fit.

I’m happy to say that I finally fully understand what it actually is that I’ve been trying to do and have now found all the missing pieces in a small collection of platforms that suit my purpose perfectly.

It’s why I’ve been so quiet the last couple of months as I’ve been building my background systems and workflows to help me deal with this rather huge project that will be unfolding over the next 10 to 20 years.

I now have a wonderful base for connecting all my various personal notes and ramblings (in Obsidian...omg it’s amazing!), I will be using YouTube as my main social media platform (eventually... as I’m still active for now on Facebook) and will be hosting my website, the actual Archive, on my own WordPress based site where my Field Notes and direct communications to clients will be sent from in the future.

I also realised that a lot of my original subscribers were coming for a variety of reasons and one newsletter that covers all the various topics would not best serve your actual interest that originally made you subscribe. That is one of the other reasons I’m shifting back to my own platform where I can divide my Field Notes into the various subcategories of topics rather than bombard you with all of it, and then send out a monthly (or so) digest of everything I talked about that month to everyone so that you can peruse what catches your eye and explore at your leisure. I’m still debating whether I’ll post those on Substack, as I’ll definitely be staying on there as a user to connect with other like-minded souls in my own time and not because I “have to”.

Another thing that irritates me about Substack is that I cannot capture your first name when you subscribe. I like talking to people in my Field Notes, not email addresses..so if you’ve subscribed on Substack, I’m sorry that I can’t address you by name in the future...I’ll try decipher it from your email address if it’s possible...otherwise...please know I love you anyway...lol

Now...before I disappear back into my cave...there’s one more thing I’d love to share...

One of the things that’s been quietly unfolding behind the scenes over the past year has been a much deeper understanding of Dragon Lineages.

Not through trying to connect with more dragons...
But through following the remarkable journey of one client in particular and her Dragon Guide, and observing how that relationship unfolded from Guardian Dragon... through Oversoul involvement... and into an unexpected process of Higher Self evolution and integration.

It completely changed the way I look at Dragon work.

So I’m very excited to share that in more detail in my talk, Working With Dragon Lineages Instead of Chasing Dragon Experiences, that was pre-recorded earlier this year for this year’s Dragon Thunder Summit. I’ll be sharing some of the observations that emerged from that journey, and why understanding a Dragon’s function may be just as important as the experience itself.

The next chapter feels much clearer now...and I’m actually excited to start sharing the Field Notes again...from their proper home this time.
