For the third consecutive edition, Atelier Marko Brajovic has designed Natura’s architectural presence at Rock in Rio. Known for creating projects that bring together design, nature, and technology, Atelier Marko Brajovic has transformed the brand’s presence at the festival into a platform for architectural experimentation, where landscape, sensory experience, and sustainability converge.
This year’s concept takes an even more nature-driven approach. Inspired by the Amazon rainforest and built using recycled Natura packaging, the structure was designed to respond to environmental stimuli such as wind, sound, and the movement of visitors.
In this conversation about the project, Marko explains how the Amazon continues to be his greatest creative source and reveals the process behind the development of a living architecture at the heart of the City of Rock.
“Virtually every project I create for Natura begins in the Amazon. The first sketches, the first drawings—they almost always emerge there. That was exactly what happened this time. Right after receiving the brief, I traveled to the Amazon with a group of researchers, and it was within that context that the ideas began to come together,” he explains.
According to the architect, the rainforest serves as both a place of observation and inspiration, where abstract concepts are transformed into tangible experiences.
“When I arrive in the Amazon, everything falls into place. It’s a place that helps me organize my thoughts. It was there that I envisioned these leaves forming a kind of living skin for the space. From that initial vision, the project gradually takes shape back at the studio.”
“Nature is never static. It reacts, vibrates, and constantly transforms. We wanted to bring that same logic into the activation.”
To achieve this, the team developed a structure composed of elements inspired by Amazonian leaves (cacau and cupuaçu), capable of moving subtly in response to environmental conditions.
“There was extensive research and prototyping to understand how these elements would behave. They are not decorative components. They were designed to interact with the wind, with the movement of people, and even with sound vibrations. The goal was to give the space an almost living presence.”
The result is an installation that evolves throughout the day, responding to the festival’s changing energy and creating different experiences for every visitor.
“From the very beginning, we worked in close co-creation with Natura to understand which materials could best express the concept while reinforcing the brand’s commitments,” the architect recalls.
The structure incorporates architectural components developed from recycled Natura packaging.
“It’s not simply about reusing materials. There’s an entire research process dedicated to understanding how these materials can be transformed into something new. It’s a way of demonstrating that innovation and sustainability can move forward together.”
“Each edition presents a completely new challenge. Natura always brings different provocations, which pushes us to find new ways of translating the brand’s themes into architectural space.”
The partnership began in 2022 with the Natura Portal, an installation inspired by the Amazon rainforest that became one of the festival’s visual landmarks. In 2024, the concept evolved into Portal Natura Pulsa, exploring the relationship between music, vibration, and nature.
Now, in 2026, the proposal advances toward responsive architecture capable of reacting to its environment in real time.
“There is a conceptual continuity across the projects, but never repetition. What we’re interested in is evolving the conversation. This year, we wanted to create something even more deeply connected to nature’s cycles—something capable of breathing, pulsing, and interacting with people.”
“For this edition, we created a vibrant, interactive environment at the heart of the City of Rock, bringing together technology, sustainability, and sensoriality in an immersive, regenerative experience. Inspired by the rainforest and constructed from the brand’s recycled packaging, the pavilion was designed to respond to the rhythm of the music, the wind, the movement of visitors, and their emotions.”
He concludes:
“The project embodies Natura’s DNA by connecting nature, innovation, and culture through lush landscaping, tactile materials, fragrances, and hands-on product experiences. We want to invite people to embark on a sensory journey throughout the festival.”

A partir dessa visão inicial, o projeto começa a ganhar corpo dentro do ateliê”..
