Death is but a Tick in a Box
I’m right chuffed about my latest time management strategy.
But will this euphoria last?
Who hasn’t tried to be more productive?
I’ve been at it for more decades that I care to admit to. It seems straightforward enough to prioritize events, make lists, and get stuff done.
However, despite my best intentions, life’s rarely just stood aside and left me to it.
Things happen.
I’m thinking now of T and the unexpected news of their sudden passing.
Loss is painful.
And I suppose managing time is not a priority for them anymore.
One day I too will discover what awaits me on my to do no more list. I expect I’ll be out of sync with the hours and the minutes, and the seconds will just tick away and I’ll be none the wiser.
Hey! I like that name.
Here lies none the wiser who has no headstone you can weep over.
He’s just stoned out of this tiny wee mind right now at the bliss of it all.
And so may you be, dear reader, one fine day.
And so may you be.
