Commanders vs Lions Game Thread

It’s game day! The Commanders travel to Detroit to take on the Lions in their second preseason game. The good news is it appears as though the starters will get some playing time, at least those that are healthy. The bad news is there’s a fair few starters that aren’t fully healthy right now. Here’s the list of players not playing today.

That’s a pretty good chunk of the defensive starters out, but at least we’ll get to see more from the likes of Ricky Barber, Shy Tuttle and Byron Cowart who all flashed against Miami. We’ll also get our first look at Frankie Luvu, so it will be interesting to see how the ILB group plays out. And of course, we’ll get our first look at Jayden Daniels this year. I suspect it will be one, maybe two series max…
