New Project: QuoteCard

From the “scratch an itch” department: I just released QuoteCard, a Safari extension that turns highlighted text into shareable quote images.

The problem it solves is simple. You’re reading something online and want to share a quote. Your options are either a messy screenshot with URL bars and sidebars, or opening a design tool to make something that looks decent. Neither is great when you just want to quickly share a passage that resonated with you.

QuoteCard sits in your Safari toolbar. Highlight text, click the icon, pick a theme, and you’ve got a clean image ready to share. That’s it.

Built with Claude Code

This was my first project built almost entirely with Claude Code. I’ve been tinkering with AI coding tools for a while, but the jump in capability over the last few months has been remarkable. What used to require constant hand-holding now just… works. I’d describe what I wanted, Claude would build it, and we’d iterate from there.

The entire Safari extension, landing page, and App Store assets came together in a fraction of the time it would have taken me solo. It’s the kind of project I might have abandoned halfway through if I had to do all the tedious parts myself.
