Ciao everyone, this week I am writing about Robinhood Chain, a new hot thing in crypto that everyone is talking about, and how I am positioned. Btw I just got back from my trip to Montenegro and enjoying the last week of World Cup games here in the U.S.

So let’s get into it.

Two weeks ago, Robinhood Chain did not exist. Today it is doing more daily trading volume than Hyperliquid, a platform that spent years building its liquidity and its loyal trader base.

I have watched a lot of chain launches in my 12 years in this industry, and most of them follow the same script of grand promises, a token airdrop, and a ghost town three months later. This one is different for a simple reason: distribution. Robinhood is not a crypto startup begging people to download a wallet. It is a publicly traded brokerage with nearly 28 million funded accounts, the app that taught an entire generation of Americans how to trade. No chain in history has launched with that kind of retail crowd sitting one tap away.

The chain itself runs on Ethereum, uses ETH to pay for transactions, and had Uniswap live from day one, which is where most of the trading happens. Robinhood’s official vision is bringing stocks and real-world assets onchain, and that story matters long-term. But it is not what exploded in week one.

On launch day the chain did about $200,000 in volume. Seven days later it was doing over $560 million a day, passed Hyperliquid, and crossed $1 billion total. Thousands of new tokens were launching daily, and most of the wallets showing up had never touched a chain before.

None of that came from tokenized stocks. It came from memecoins. Vlad Tenev called memecoins a dead end on CNBC, then six days later posted that while they are building the best chain for real-world assets, “it works great for memes too.” He knows exactly what he is doing. Speculation is the on-ramp, and the real-world asset infrastructure is the destination.

Every new chain gets its first legend, and this one is a cat. CASHCAT is a memecoin named after the mascot Robinhood used before it was even called Robinhood, back when the founders ran their startup under the name CashCat. The token has no official connection to the company, but that did not stop it from running more than 1,400% in a day and passing a $140 million market cap within the chain’s first week.

Vlad Tenev leaned in, and that is exactly when CASHCAT exploded.

That one tweet sent it vertical:

While we’re building robinhood chain to be the best chain for RWA … it works great for memes too

The onchain receipts are real. One trader bought $838 worth roughly 20 days before the mania and has realized over $900,000, about 1,250 x. Another wallet turned $85 into a couple of million.

Turning $838 into $1.05M — a 1,253x return. Absolutely insane! Trader 0xDE4C spent just $838 to buy 15.04M $CASHCAT 20 days ago and held until today. After $CASHCAT skyrocketed, he sold 13.5M $CASHCAT for $917.6K and still holds 1.5M $CASHCAT ($133.7K), bringing his total

And on the other side sits the trader who spent $69, sold his entire position for $711, and watched that same stack become worth $2.7 million weeks later.

🚨 LATEST: A trader who sold 20 million CASHCAT tokens for a 10x profit of $711 missed out on a potential $2.7 million payday as the memecoin later surged.

I want to be honest about what these stories mean, because most people draw the wrong lesson. I do not advise anyone to gamble. But after twelve years in this industry I can tell you that these things still happen in crypto. If you are in the right place at the right time, watching the narrative form on Twitter, and you act fast, this is how it looks. That is the entire edge: presence, speed, and some luck. For every winner above, thousands of people were on the other side of the trade handing them that money. Watch the narratives, understand the game, but never confuse a lottery with a strategy.

After the CASHCAT story, I got many messages asking how to actually buy on Robinhood Chain, because for people outside of crypto it still feels complicated. So let me make it simple.
