It’s Going to Plan

If you’ve been feeling like everything around you is degrading at an accelerating pace, you’re not imagining things. This devolution was articulated in excruciating detail in Project 2025. The people who took the time to peruse this publicly available publication prior to the 2024 election were shocked by the contents. Yet, plenty of people didn’t bother to read it or opted not to believe it was real once Donald feigned ignorance. Worst of all, plenty of people embraced this Machiavellian plan to destroy America and turn it into something unrecognizable.

Post Trickle Down Economics, post end of the Fairness Doctrine, post Hanging Chads, post 9/11, post yellow cake and weapons of mass destruction leading us into the Iraq War, post Freedom Fries, post Citizens United and the rise of Dark Money financed Super Pacs, post 2016 and 2024 elections, post January 6th, post blatant neglect to renew the Voting Rights Act, post Elon’s election flim-flammery, post DOGE, post Leo’s Federalist takeover of the lower and Supreme Courts, we’re many years into this slow moving coup and the plans are unfolding right on schedule. All three branches of our government have been captured by nefarious and delusional religious zealots who are busy chipping away at the foundations of our democratic Republic. The architects of the Heritage Foundation and their co-conspirators have aligned themselves with whomever will assist in facilitating their agenda, including a dizzying array of malignant narcissists and Dark Tetrad personalities in and hovering around our government.

The middle class has been hollowed out. Wages have stagnated, with minimum wage remaining at $7.25 for almost two decades while costs of living have increased exponentially. Wealth concentration has been siphoned from the pockets of the masses to the coffers of the 1%. Women’s Rights, LGBTQ+ Rights, Civil Rights, Human Rights, Labor Rights, Voting Rights…all of the hard fought and hard earned progress is being erased. Limited health care access, including access to life saving vaccines and medication, de-regulation of our food supply, removal of environmental protections, and purposeful elimination of tracking of deadly bacteria, viruses, and food borne illness are all serving to further degrade our quality of life. The most efficient way to subjugate people is to make them hungry, sick, poor, and desperate. The best way to eradicate the chronically ill, weak, and old is to let them die from rampant and unchecked disease, food scarcity and toxicity, and ever increasing economic pressure. The best way to create a compliant population is to remove access to education and truthful information.

What ‘Christian’ based government would be so anti-human rights?

We’re knee deep in muck of this shit, friends. Most people are waiting for an election that the party in charge is openly doing everything in their power to derail. Waiting may well be an exercise in futility. We should be actively engaged in resistance, but we’re so overwhelmed by the constant chaos that far too many of us are obeying in advance. We’re sitting around waiting for permission to protest, instead of actively participating on a daily basis.

Fear is a powerful emotion. Information overload is an effective distraction. AI Slop and propaganda are making it increasingly difficult to know what is real. What can we expect from a population that has spent the past fifty years consuming a steady diet of cheap crap produced in sweatshops overseas, toxic ‘reality’ and hyper violent TV, corporate owned right leaning news, and the siren song of micro-targeted and addictive propaganda driven social media feeds? We haven’t had to sacrifice a thing for the greater good since WWII. We’re so firmly entrenched in our ‘Me Myself and I’ mentality we’ve forgotten the importance of community.

Look at the outrage over protecting the vulnerable and preventing the unchecked spread of a novel pathogen through short term quarantine, vaccination, and wearing simple masks.

If it seems as if the chaos is random, driven by the shifting whims of a mercurial madman, it’s not accidental. The truth is, Trump is a gift to them. Their mondo bizarro plans are hiding behind Donald’s folly. There’s a method to the madness. Every absurdity and atrocity is far more easily achieved if it seems like unfettered chaos instead of tactical precision.

Are we all just going to sit around and pretend the ‘other side’ is coming to save us in November? The House Speaker from the ‘other side’ just met with the sleazy private citizen nepo-profiteer who couldn’t get a basic security clearance (yet answers to no one) to see if they can ‘find common ground.’ The complicity is clear. One need only look at the passivity regarding decades of election interference through gerrymandering, voter suppression, and voter roll purges, not to mention the statistical anomalies and blatant contempt for the rule of law. Until we get money out of politics, create term limits, prosecute the guilty, and secure our elections we’ll continue to be ruled by lawless elitists, conspiracy theorists, white supremacists, religious extremists, and shameless grifters.

We can’t keep doing the same things and expecting different results. That insanity isn’t serving anyone but the ruling class who continue to amass wealth while the rest of us watch the future slip away. If you haven’t read Project 2025, I beg you to go read it. I beg you to share it with other people who haven’t read it. We cannot enact change if we keep sleepwalking into dystopia. This is bigger than ballot boxes and social media posts and phone calls. It’s about waking up to the seriousness of this moment and making some sacrifices for the greater good. It’s about applying pressure through illuminating the rot spreading unchecked under the surface. They’re relying on our passivity. Information is power. Inform yourself and then inform other people.

According to the Center for Progressive Reform 53% of the Project 2025 agenda had been completed as of February of this year. Multiple contributors to this initiative are members of the current cabinet, they’ve infiltrated all three branches of our federal government, state and local elections, school boards, local and state governments, and they’re entrenching themselves to prevent future detection and removal. They’re driven, focused, disciplined, determined, and relentless. We have to be all of these things. The time for holding hands and humming Kumbaya has long passed. The current leaders of the Democratic Party have proven themselves to be complacent, compliant, and complicit. We need to vote for their replacements in numbers too big to deny and more than that, begin the process of building cooperative community based systems that function outside of the current corruption. This isn’t about right versus left, it’s about tyranny versus democracy.

I retain hope that we can and we will right this ship. The Sleeping Giant must awake. There are millions more of us, but that only matters if we’re willing to participate in and fight for this government of, by and for the people.
