You will not see the opening credits, the theme music, the establishing shots of the coastline, the montage of the character preparing for the voyage, the tearful goodbye at the harbor, the exposition delivered by his uncle over a glass of brandy, the ominous foreshadowing of the storm, the storm itself, the shipwreck, the days spent floating in the wreckage, or the moment he first noticed the mountain beginning to detach from the earth.
The show will resume with the character already standing on the deck of the ruined boat, watching an inverted mountain hover over a valley of clouds, in a state of calm you will not be given the context to understand.
