Happy new year?
Well, it’s there now. And it’s well intended.
I also had intentions of sending this a lot sooner, but a busy start to the year delayed me.
Anyway. I hope your 2026 has started well!
It’s been a wonderful opening for our music charity, with some big steps taken already.

As music instructors, one of our main aims is to ensure our delivery is inclusive and accessible for all.
We are striving for the balance that allows the more reserved individuals to remain present, but not spotlighted. And those that they are keen to be seen, have the opportunities to take centre stage.
Then, there is the delicate process of identifying attendees who just need that gentle encouragement, that can kickstart a flurry of confidence and creative expression.
This was highlighted beautifully at a session this week, when a relatively new attendee to a dementia support group we visit, showed a desire to perform a modern hit.
Once the music was loaded, and mic in hand, the moment felt too much for her and she gestured to leave the space.
But… in jumps our lead instructor Rob.
He had noticed her subtle dancing earlier in the session, so took the opportunity to suggest some moves of his own. Within seconds she was in full swing.. smiling, and even singing.
So… when the instruments aren’t right, our instructors are ready with the moves instead 👌
TIME have already delivered 30 music sessions in January, as we look set for our busiest year yet.
We’re excited to see what happens next 🙂
Since launching in 2014, our charity - Together In Musical Expression (T.I.M.E), has been on a mission to make music accessible to everyone. From SEN schools and care homes, to mental health settings, dementia groups, and nightclubs, everything we do is about breaking down barriers and building connection through music.
Now, as we move into the next stage of our journey, we’re looking for a Fundraising & Partnerships Manager to help strengthen and grow our income streams, and play a crucial role in shaping our charity.
💼 What you’ll be doing
• Writing, managing and submitting funding bids and grant applications, and maintaining strong relationships with funders
• Building and nurturing relationships with community groups, businesses, trusts, foundations & corporate partners
• Developing and delivering a clear, coordinated fundraising strategy
• Raising the profile of T.I.M.E through thoughtful, well-planned campaigns
• Cultivating partnerships with ambassadors, public figures & supporters aligned with our mission
• Planning and coordinating community fundraising initiatives & events
🎯 What we’re looking for
• Experience in fundraising, partnerships or income generation (charity / non-profit)
• A track record of writing successful funding or grant applications
• Understanding of community fundraising & corporate partnerships
• Someone proactive, organised and comfortable working independently
• Openness to supporting social media, PR or profile-raising activity
• Experience working within small or growing charities is a big plus
📍 The details
• Salary: £32,000–£40,000
• Hours: Part-time or full-time
• Working style: Hybrid (with travel to Leigh-on-Sea, Essex once or twice per week preferred)
