Hey Party People,
This month I’ve been thinking about rest, slowing down, and how to feel pauses. It’s very difficult work for me to even remember that I can take a break for example. If decide to take a break, I tend to stop “productive” tasks and start other types of work in the guise of easing my mind; “studio organizing” “archiving” “networking” “writing a newsletter” and “cleaning” bring me peace. My good friend Arthur Prigent pointed this out to me last time I was at La Souplothèque. Understanding that I can take a pause and not have to feel guilty is one thing, living it as such is a whole other ballgame for me. Does this resonate with any of you reading?
It’s also difficult for me to do things while our world is burning, it’s always difficult to think about -the escalation, the lies, the deaths- while trying to look ahead and do, well, anything. Not much brings me peace. However robotic as this makes me feel… the show must go on? I think?
Do drugs, be gay, fuck shit up. Repeat.
Stay safe, tell your loved ones you love them. Eat good food, get fat and sassy.
Loads of Love,
Manster

→ The Hat Lab (hatlabstudio.com)
This is a collaborative project between my good friend Philippe Borg and Santiago de Barros! They specialize in funky statement pieces for your head! They work classic hat making techniques in their studio, adding modern twists to their designs. Two designs are currently available. I just ordered my very own Hybrid, can’t wait to try it on!
This is a re?cycling center specializing in flexible materials. You bring any flexible material in exchange for “wind,” a made up currency with which you can exchange for materials in their warehouse in Molenbeek.
Check out this anti-asmr (fun fact, I HATE asmr) performance I did for their synthetic rubber bands on their insta:
