Mother’s Day can be a day of joy or a day of sorrow. Perhaps you have lost a child or had a miscarriage. Or perhaps you have a chronic illness that keeps you from being the type of mother you wish you could be. I pray that these hugs will help you through the weekend and beyond.
Please know that God loves you right where you are. He is not surprised by you situation. And He will carry you through it.
Be Blessed

Proverbs 31:25: "She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come."
Philippians 4:13: "I can do all this through him who gives me strength."
Check out Music by David Nevue. Here’s a piece inspired by Psalm 77
I love David Nevue, pianist. My husband found him years ago and his music truly is an oasis.

On TODAY, May 8, 2026 at 4:00 PM PST, the Diamonds Conference will be hosting a free, live panel on Motherhood with a Chronic Illness. Our wonderful panelists Sarah Walton, Meredith Boone, and Claire Staples will be there to answer questions and provide perspectives from various stages of motherhood.
Share this email (they can register for the session here) with a mom who might need some support and encouragement this month. If you are going to miss this panel, do not fret! You will be able to access the recording through the Diamonds content library. We look forward to seeing you there!
Alexandra Wildeson shares her journey towards motherhood on her podcast “Calling in Sick”. I’ll warn you that you will need to ignore the cussing, but haven’t we all felt like cussing in our chronic pain? She shares her raw, behind-the-scenes story gently and joyfully.
My dear, sweet friend, Patti Smith, shares her story of having a stillborn child. I love her beautiful, though very difficult story. Find it here.
Breaking the Cold, Hard Grip of Grief
My new devotional has published! God placed all the right people in the right places to finally get this book out into the world. Dissonant Chords, Joyful Harmony - Finding God’s Grace in the Pain of Chronic Illness is a devotional that leads you to meditate on Psalms and Spiritual Songs as a way to manage your pain. It’s available on Amazon and on my Etsy account, if you would like a signed copy.
My children’s book, Soft Hugs for Mommy is free on Kindle the weekend!
Soft Hugs for Mommy tells the story of a loving family as they navigate the challenges of Mommy's chronic pain condition. Filled with tender moments and loving gestures, it seeks to encourage understanding and unconditional love. The family helps Mommy with her invisible illness by offering gentle hugs, thoughtful acts of kindness, and comforting words. A talented author who draws from her personal experience with fibromyalgia shares this sweet story. Another chronic illness warrior skillfully illustrates the story with hand painted pictures. Together, author and illustrator capture the emotions and experiences of each character with warmth and tenderness.
The Darcie Project is a Facebook page to remember and support the Pregnancy & Infant Loss community. They have suggested these three books.
