Man Battlestations Forums Are Back!

Greetings!

My apologies to all of you who have attempted to log into the forum recently and run into issues. The simple truth is that I have not been as meticulous as I should have been with keeping the forum software updated. Over time, that technical debt grew to the point that the forum stopped functioning all together. However, after a concentrated few days of troubleshooting and updates, I’ve got the forums up and running again!

You may notice that the interface looks somewhat different than it did before; that is the result of the latest version of Simple Machines Forums using a different “theme,” which is what the program calls the graphics and fonts used to create the forum’s interface. As of now, I’m using the default theme. However, I am considering adding a new theme in the future, perhaps one that has a more naval or nautical theme.

I also want to state here and now that I remain committed to keeping Man Battlestations on line and running. That includes the website, forum, podcast, and so on. The last couple of years have been challenging for me both personally and professionally, which has taken a big bite out of the time I’ve had to devote to content creation and administration. However, I’m looking to make some changes here and get back into a regular posting schedule.
