Tonight was the strawberry moon. My yoga teacher gave us strawberries. I cried, not because of the strawberries, but because of the gentleness with which they were given. I’ve had a hard few days and a strawberry and a slow yoga class were almost too much of a good thing. I felt overcome, swinging from the deep despair I’d been experiencing since Friday to the contented joy of a single strawberry and a moon salutation.
The format:
What I’m crushing (accomplishing, achieving, attaining, fulfilling, something that I am being successful at.)
What is crushing me (see definition 3b, something that is bringing me down.)
What I’m crushing on (admiring, adoring, appreciating, cherishing, favoriting, etc.)
I think I am doing very well in the show I am in. It is called Peter and the Starcatcher, as I have mentioned. We have 6 more shows. Hope to see you in the park.
Something completely unimaginable is happening right now and it is filling me with unprecedented anguish. I can’t write about it here, but just know that I scheduled an emergency therapy session this week, which is something I have never done for fear of disrespecting my therapist’s time and work/life balance. Thank you, Kelly.
I have very good friends. Friends who will stand up for me, get enraged on my behalf, cry with me, laugh with me. I am grateful for them always but especially recently.
Also, I got to celebrate my friend Hallie’s birthday last week and we got this adorable picture.
You should check out Hallie’s Substack with her business partner and dear friend, Caleb. They write a newsletter called Eros Aril, and it is wonderful.
That is all. Thank you for the love and support.
Blessings,
Mal
