The month is flying by… anyone else? A few exciting projects are starting to take shape, and with September just around the corner, I already have fashion month on the brain. In the midst of it all, here’s everything that earned a spot on my whims list this week…
C.C. Moulton
I discovered this luxurious home brand on a deep Pinterest dive this week. The silks, the fringes! I’m definitely going to find a spot or two for some of their pieces.
Juju Vera
I mentioned my newfound obsession with this specific shade of grape purple in my August Forecast. When I saw Juju Vera’s new collection included this stunning fringe-trimmed shawl in that exact shade, it was an immediate yes for me.
Pre-Fall’s Best Paisley
I put together an edit of paisley picks earlier this week, inspired by the red paisley loafers I can’t stop wearing. How good is this Etsy jacket that looks almost identical to my Celine one? It comes in a ton of colors, and has such high reviews.
A Great Zara Find
This striped floral military jacket was an instant add-to-cart! I love how they styled it with a subtle striped barrel pant.
The New Easy Pant On The Block
J.Crew has a new tie-waist pant to rival the Leset and Donni ones we all know and love. I’m going to order a pair to see how they fare compared to the others. They come in Petite, Classic, and Tall lengths, which is definitely worth trying if you’ve felt like the other options on the market don’t quite work.
Boden Kids
A few back-to-school finds for the girls from Boden:
A rainbow-trimmed fleece jacket
Cute fringe-adorned boots
This embroidered vest that’s perfect for in-between weather days.
A pink cardigan I know they’ll love
Sneakers they can both easily throw on themselves
Veronica Beard
Veronica Beard nails fall every year, and this season is no exception. Here’s what I’m loving:
This western-inspired twist on a classic blazer
Make It Fast
Caroline’s Substack, “What to Cook When You Don’t Feel Like Cooking,” is one of our favorites to follow for super easy weeknight dinner ideas. If you’re like us and need dinner ideas that taste good and take 30 minutes or less, her new cookbook, Make It Fast, just launched! Ours is already covered in dog-ears. The trick is that she builds the prep right into the ingredient list, so you gather everything once and 30 minutes actually means 30 minutes. Nearly every recipe comes with swap notes such as chicken for shrimp, pork tenderloin when not everyone eats lamb and a “bulk it up” option for when you need it to stretch further. Best of all, she gives you full meals instead of one dish and a side you have to go find.
New Staud
Everything Staud is doing right now has been so good. The patterns and prints feel new, and the color combinations feel interesting. The latest collection totally nails the end-of-summer, heading-into-fall vibes I’m looking for right now. Here are six things on my wish list:
This satin clutch with bead and sequin detailing.
This espresso + canary bag, the coolest color pairing.
These feather-trimmed sandals
This silk striped skirt
This striped corset top. I love the twisted straps in the back.
This amazing dress that serves cocktail hour drama in the best way.
Etsy Lampshades
Another great Etsy find. I stumbled across this shop with the most gorgeous lampshades. The shape feels romantic and like it’s from another time, but the colors feel far from dated. They capture that collected spirit I love in a home.
