Wrote a song called Coelestia on a bike ride, I used to bike a lot everyday everywhere because this was a time that we have yet to own a car in America. I have greatly appreciated the beauty of this country as I cycled through parks, highways and bridges. Sarah and I have always wondered why the skies here seem more vast than from the other side of the world.
And as the sun was setting and the clouds are showcasing its ever unique unfolding the melodies started to stitch in my head. I would stop and hum snippets of notes on my phone and as soon as I got the time to sit, I put it together into a demo. I let Sarah hear it and she would run it through her filters. Reminds me when we cook for large gatherings, I bang out the dish and she would sprinkle some finishing touches, garnish, seasoning and such.
You are where you are and you can only know up to a certain point. Our minds are designed to seek answers but the more you find answers more questions come up.
Coelestia is about staying in the unknowing. Being at peace though uncertain.
Of all the teachings that I have devoured and oh yeah, they are a lot, there is a simple underlying concept that encapsulates almost all of it.

By the way the title of this song is inspired by Arcana Coelestia (meaning “Heavenly Secrets”) an expansive, multi-volume theological work by Swedish philosopher and mystic Emanuel Swedenborg.
It provides an in-depth, spiritual interpretation of the books of Genesis and Exodus. The profound quotes below explore angels, the nature of heaven, spiritual warfare, and our connection to the Divine.
Maybe this piece of music came to me cause I’m just in awe of the sky, maybe because I’m looking for a new avenue of expression or maybe the time was just right for everything to come to be.
The beautiful thing about songs especially recorded ones are they are there and will be there after all the transformation and changes, for other people to enjoy and create a world with.
This is the same with literary work, photos, video or anything that you choose to put together and leave behind as an offering to the world, an offering to life.
This got me thinking that anything we create and put our heart into has value. This letter, your warm beverage, your day, no matter how you perceive it. Value is inherent in everything every time and we are just too blessed to be here, play with it, analyze it and hopefully make something good out of it.
Notes are there, they are 7 and you’re free to arrange them in a wide multitude of permutations, there are fruits to make salads with, there are buildings to draw and teas to sit still with.

Slice heirloom tomatoes and lay them out as a bed on nice oval platter, sear some courgettes along side grape tomatoes, allow it to char and get a bit jammy, I know it’s hot but believe me when I say it’s worth it.
Dress it up with chopped herbs, capers, top shelf olive oil and vinegar, lemon zest and lemon juice will make it extra summery, remember to add a little sweet, I got coconut sugar so I whisked it in.

We were honored to tattoo people with stories that take us to Egypt, mountains of Washington state, journeys of self transformation.
