My toddler’s been having a hard time controlling his temper, as probably is typical for a 3 year old. Little situations have been causing *Big Feelings*. I try to remember and empathize that for him, these seemingly little things probably feel Huge. But while we try our best to be proactive and prevent the Big Feelings moments from happening, once they do, we’ve been working on helping Toddler find his calm.
The picture books on this list have helped model calming and grounding strategies for Toddler to use when he is having his big feelings. His favorite has been *Breathe Bunny Breathe* by Laura Lavoie, but every child has different preferences, so I’m curious which ones your own child may resonate the most with.
I hope these book recs can help you get through the Big Feelings moments with your own littles!
