Earlier this month I shared a collection of books about honoring and respecting all names, and as we head into back-to-school season, I wanted to share this craft featuring this classic story to underscore the importance of correctly pronouncing and validating every child’s name.

Read aloud the story Chrysanthemum, and then encourage students to create their own *Chrysanthemum* Crafts to share their pride for their own name, or to share what makes them wilt and bloom.
Encourage little learners to create a *Chrysanthemum* craft to share what their name means and why they love their name, and/or to share things that make them wilt or bloom.
