Beginnings are complex, and I've stared at this blank page longer than I'll admit. But I've spent enough of my life helping other people find their words that it felt strange to keep putting off finding mine.
For nearly a decade I’ve worked in patient care coordination inside one of New York’s busiest hospital systems. For over twelve years before that — and still — I’ve run my own ESL and career-coaching practice, teaching people to say what they mean in a language that isn’t their first. Somewhere in between, I spent years in leadership at a youth empowerment NGO, and longer than that quietly building a personal philosophy: that peace and dignity aren’t abstractions, they’re built one practical act at a time — a translated document, a patient who feels heard, a student who finally lands the job interview, a writer who gets their platform working so their message can actually reach people.
The “why now” is simpler than it sounds: I recently volunteered to help a longtime activist untangle his Substack, and in doing it I realized how much I wanted a space of my own to think out loud about this work — education, healthcare, advocacy, and the quieter mechanics of making change stick. What kind of community I want to build here!
Not a broadcast — a workroom. I’m hoping this becomes a space for people who care about peace, dignity, and doing good work well: educators, advocates, healthcare people, and anyone trying to use their skills for something bigger than a paycheck. I’d rather have a smaller group of people actually thinking alongside me than a big audience skimming past.
Posts roughly every other week — reflections on advocacy, education, healthcare coordination, and the practical side of communicating across languages and cultures

Occasional deeper pieces — case studies from the work (like helping a fellow advocate rebuild his newsletter from the ground up) — for anyone who wants to go further with me
I’ll keep refining this as I learn what resonates — this is a first draft of a space, not a finished one.
I don’t have a polished formula yet, and I’m not going to pretend I do. If a post runs long some weeks and short others, that’s just how it’ll be. If you’re here, thank you — genuinely. Subscribe below, and let’s build something worth reading together.
I sometimes use AI as a drafting and editing aid, but every post reflects my own experience and judgment — nothing goes out that isn't mine.
