Four years ago, we were invited to go camping, now become a tradition. Another tradition is a group t-shirt. Someone (who will remain nameless) used AI for last years design. I quickly stepped up to do this year’s T-shirt design… you know, because I’m a human 😁.
Here’s how the design process went: A: 1st draft / B: Found the font I liked / C: Picked out the t-shirt colour / D: Our buddy generously printed them at his home / E: We took them camping!
Another tradition is that same buddy brings headphones for a silent disco on the beach each year. Yep, the same buddy who printed the shirts! How lucky are we!
In fact, it always ends up being not only us, but the entire beach joining in! I overheard someone thanking him saying, “It’s such a gift”, which sums up the experience entirely.
And I think Jim would approve of share-zees!
Before we caught the Nanaimo Ferry home, we popped into Curious Comics, where I found these, “A Little Golden Book” series! I absolutely LOVE all the different illustrations for every book!
I may have bought the ‘80s one for myself!
I picked up a few since they’re about the price of a card these days. I’ll pop a little note in them and attach them to gifts. Most cards get recycled, don’t they? This way, it’s for keeps 🥳!
She’s a design powerhouse, and I am obsessed.
We both ended up designing fabric for Paintbrush Studio Fabrics. To be completely honest, seeing her name on their artist roster was a HUGE reason I signed with them. I saw her name and thought, “Oh! Teresa is here? Perfect. This is the party I want to be at!”
But wait, it gets better…
