A new service for knitters!

Mary Annarella · Lyrical Knits

I know the pain. You find a pretty pattern you want to knit, but it lists this nebulous thing called “gauge.”

It often says something like “22 sts and 30 rows/4 inches” but you’ve never worked with this yarn before. What to do? Do you check the weight of the yarn and recommended needle size, and CO some sts to see for yourself?

I decided that’s for the birds, and why should we use knitting a swatch as a prelude to knitting the actual thing itself? /s

That’s when I came up with a whole new service for you (hey, it was either that or coming out with a new brand of supplements):

Yes, you’ve read that right! For the tiny fee of $700USD* (Venmo accepted), you can send me your yarn, and I will personally make up a swatch for you to the correct gauge needed for the pattern.

*only slightly more than the cost of 3 dozen eggs and a gallon of gasoline

But I won’t stop there:

To keep the “lyrical” in Lyrical Knits, I will actually sing to your swatch while it’s being knit. Just think of the excellent mojo that will infuse into your swatch!

You can name your genre of music, be it pop, folk, 70s Rock, ska, rockabilly, or opera. Please be advised that Tuvan throat singing and Whale songs will require an extra fee since they bother the Lyrical Spouse in the house.

I’m sorry/not sorry. It had to be done!

(What day is it today, anyway???)

Go knit something fun,

Mary (aka Lyrical Knits)

P.S. In all seriousness, if you didn’t have time to join in the Ted Lasso MKAL fun, you can check out many of the projects here (and they’re hidden behind spoiler curtains). the final clue comes out on Friday, and it’s going to be a little different than you might expect.
