Greetings to all who have stayed with me thus far. I can’t believe it’s been as long as it has since I last wrote here - for that I sincerely apologize. I love motherhood, I love being a wife, I worry about the ins and outs of running our small business, and I daily appreciate the countryside summer life, complete with fireflies and frogs singing. Life still manages to get the best of me on a near-daily basis, but I’m figuring out how to make time for the things I think matter most.

Recently Andy & I were baptized into our Baptist church in a lovely Sunday morning ceremony, after which we dedicated the baby for raising in God’s family. It was a delightful experience. Andy and I were both baptized as infants, but have for some time now felt a strong need to recommit to the Christian values that made us the people we are today, in hopes of raising our family in a similar vein. I am a brand-new “official” member of our church but I’m impatient to get started building the community that I so strongly believe our generation has been lacking. I blame this absence for the strong ennui and angst people report, and hope I can do a little to help alleviate it for my local neighbors.
I hope everyones’ summer is going well! I will be making a point of updating more frequently than I have! At the moment my goal is twice a month, or once every two weeks. See you then!
