Yesterday, I shared with my email community and on Instagram that we’re closing a chapter at LuxNomads.

I also promised to share more this week… so here I am.

I want to start with the why.

When Donald Trump was elected in November 2024, everything changed overnight. Within two days, more than 2,000 people booked calls with me because they needed out. They couldn’t stay in the U.S., and the EU was the first place they felt pulled to go.

In those days, it was just me.

I took every call personally, answered every question, and sat 1:1 with every person to help them figure out the next chapter of their lives down to the details. At one point, my calendar was booked six months out.

During the craziness, I happened to mention what was happening to a friend of mine who had spent a career building a multi-million dollar business.

The first thing he told me: “You need a sales team.”

That was a BIG shift to consider hearing it from one source. So, I shared the same story with my business coach.

“You need a sales team.”

These people knew me, knew my passion, and knew my vision. So, before I knew it, I was on a plane to Sedona, Arizona to meet with an agency that specialized in building sales teams. Because guys, I didn’t even really know what a sales team was.

I just assumed that if everyone I trusted was telling me this was the right step, then it must be.

So, the agency built my first sales team.

It wasn’t a fit. So we parted ways a few months later, and I built another.

Then another.

And another….

In the last 18 months, I’ve rebuilt the same department five. different. times.

Every time I maintained the belief that if I just found the right people, the right structure, or the right process, this would be the time everything finally clicked.

But every rebuild eventually went the same way.

I’d lose a little more of myself. Lose a little more of my peace of mind.

And somewhere along the way… I lost the joy I had when I first started LuxNomads.

The hardest realization wasn’t admitting the sales department wasn’t working, but realizing that I had unintentionally put distance between myself and the very people I have always been on a mission to help.

Since the day I got on that plane to Arizona a year and a half ago, the first experience many people had with LuxNomads wasn’t through me or my teaching.

It started with a sales call.

And the more I reflected on that, the more I realized what it meant.

We had built a business that served one type of person.

We were perfect for the person who was ready to move right now and willing to invest in a high-ticket service to have their relocation handled from start to finish.

Which left me stuck on the question… what about everyone else?

What about the people who were just beginning to dream about moving abroad?

The ones who needed clarity way more than a consultation. The ones who are looking for guidance, education, and a roadmap they can follow at their own pace.

The people who need a community in their corner until they’re ready to get their “yes”.

This community needed to be for them, too. I just hadn’t figured out how to create it.

… yet

Closing our sales department isn’t about giving up, it’s about making room for something that feels more aligned with the vision I had for LuxNomads from day one.

More room to serve people. More room to create resources that meet you wherever you are in your relocation journey, not just when you’re ready to become a VIP client.

And for the first time in a very long time, I feel excited again.

Mark your calendars: Announcement Day is Tuesday, 7/14 at 12pm ET.

Five years from now, this is the day I’ll have circled, with “turning point” scribbled underneath.

I can’t wait to share it with you.
