The only upside of a very wet June so far in London has meant a lot of culture has been consumed visually speaking. Dare I say I’ve actually relished the rain a bit. I travelled a stupid amount from March - May so have been loving being predominantly home-based, or more specifically sofa-based. Double-screening is inevitable so a lot of online scrolling, searching and shopping has also been undertaken simultaneously. The results of these noble endeavours and more are below….

  1. The fantastic Mr Max Hurd (if you’re not following his substack yet, do!) has designed a chair with my favourite The House Upstairs (the company who made my custom dining bench and chunky slipper chair) and its probably exactly what you’ve been looking for. Aptly called the ‘Look No Further’ chair, it really is the ultimate classic armchair that ticks every box . Elegant but comfortable and cosy, it would be welcome to nestle into any sitting room, reading corner or bedroom.

  2. These tiles are 100% being used in Cornwall somewhere too. They’re the perfect balance between whimsical and grounded and the colours are just so good. I don’t think they’d have grabbed me nearly as much if the motifs were in a white.

  3. I’ve been doing a silly amount of holiday shopping this year. Holiday dressing is my online spending kryptonite and I’m not proud of it. But at least I have lots to share, and eclectic pick ‘n mix accessories are dominating it seems. This beaded pouch bag from Marina Rinaldi and this little Rachel Comey embellished net bag would both make the simplest white cotton trousers, flip flops and tank look sing. I can’t stop obsessing over this fishy belt too. We all love Courtney Grow, aka the internet’s It girl, and her Reformation collection was doubtless the hot launch ahead of high season. I actually loved the accessories the hardest and went for the beaded flip flops and little pouch bag. I adore these blue satin flats too but felt like the flip flops would be more in line with my summer. Equally epic with an all-black or white look would be these very fun little slides. Who said red and green should never be seen?

Jeans and a really nice top
