Watching Minnesotans protest in subzero weather was inspiring. In fact, Minnesota has served as ground zero for many momentous protests. For example, its 2020 protests highlighted the murder of George Floyd and created change in the city of Minneapolis.
This last weekend we watched Minnesotans come together again to protest ICE’s killing of citizens. We have yet to see the change these protests will create.
What’s clear now is that the rest of the country is watching and supporting.
On MLK Day, dozens of families came together online to “Let Justice Rise.” Through music, poetry, and prayers, we remembered the sacrifice Martin Luther King Jr. and other activists made. While singing and praying together, we were reminded of the inherent power of coming together as community.

On Saturday, February 28, our advisory board is hosting the Let Justice Rise BOOK CLUB for Loving Your Black Neighbor as Yourself: A Guide to Closing the Space Between Us.
This book shows us how to live as agents of love and justice for our Black Neighbors and all of our neighbors!

3. Read the book.
