I thought I saw you smile today but you quickly turned and shied away so if you left my eyes betrayed Not sure; but still I stay inclined to say that I saw Hope upon you in spite of all you've gone through the nightmares that still taunt you the Dream's arrived; I know that it's been long due I think it was before your teens this look upon your face last seen when Innocence in your eyes gleamed and Experience was not the hardship it now seems. I miss this boy I used to see but not the man he grew to be the change through time lacks unity to days gone by-- I remember them so beautifully: His precious laugh, that tender smile that sweet, endearing, gentle child been lost from you now seems awhile so bring him back and free yourself from his exile. For though I know how swayed the tide from high to lows you feel inside A smile today would wave alive A new tomorrow Where Oceans thrive when Hope survives. With sudden smile hearts praise surprise but the Mind of Man it fears disguise So 'fore dreams escape my eyes Please tell me, that the mirror never lies. ~01/2003
