It’s top of the agenda in all my client engagements, whether coaching 1:1 or working with teams. And it’s no surprise when the business/political/societal context keeps changing. No sooner have we arrived at a decision we’re comfortable with than something unexpected happens, and we need to adjust or start again.
It can be draining or exhilarating, depending on the impact on you, your team, your business, your sector.
On the downside, it erodes the quality of our decision-making and wears away at our confidence and our fundamental trust in ourselves to make decent decisions. And on the upside, a shift in circumstances can breathe new life into a product or project, or inspire us to change, innovate or pivot in ways that weren’t possible before.
Either way, there is a practical decision-making method (that works) in this madness.
A way to make sense of complex, ambiguous events and situations, without jumping to conclusions and making costly mistakes.
A way to mitigate risk when you don’t have all of the data/information/insight you need.
A way to make decisions in unpredictable, uncertain conditions, and act on them with confidence.
It’s a tried-and-tested method I use with my clients, which I’ll be sharing in a live group session this October.
Light on theory, this 90-minute down-to-earth session is packed with actionable strategies and insights you can use right away.
Places are limited with two dates to choose from – click on this link to learn more and secure your spot.
Is there someone you know who would benefit from improving the quality of their decision-making? If so, please share it with them. And if you decide to join me, I very much look forward to seeing you in session.
Until next time, take good care of yourself.
Best, Louise
